Posted here in case you missed it..............

Hello. Stefan here, writing you from Multiply HQ in Jakarta, Indonesia.

As most of you are probably aware, Multiply's mission has evolved over the past year and a half to become the biggest and most beloved ecommerce marketplace in two very exciting markets, Indonesia and the Philippines. As our focus has shifted, we have reviewed all of our operations, and made some decisions that will affect everyone here.
  • From December 1st, we will unfortunately no longer be able to support Multiply in its current form - notably we will be removing the social networking and content sharing part of Multiply (photos, videos, blogs, social messaging, etc.). We have decided to discontinue providing and hosting these services, as we have concluded that other Internet sites who are committed to social networking services will do a better job serving you than we can.
  • For our existing users of social networking features, we will be providing easy ways for you to either download your stuff (photos, blogs, content, etc), or migrate it to other online services. We'll announce the precise details shortly. It will be your choice whether to download, migrate or just let your content lapse (and get deleted).
  • For our existing ecommerce users (both buyers and sellers) in Indonesia and the Philippines, there will be no action required.
  • Regarding any existing Multiply Premium subscriptions we will refund any unused balance, and apologize for any inconvenience this will cause. Please contact customer service to request a refund. Note that this is for Multiply Premium, not the ecommerce related Multiply Trust product.

I am aware of how disruptive this news may be, and understand the disappointment that it may cause. Ultimately this was a business decision, critical to our to success moving forward. Instead, we are excited to pursue our own mission to give the 350 million consumers in Indonesia and the Philippines a great way to buy and sell items online. Our singular focus now is for Multiply to retain its status as a vibrant e-commerce destination in Southeast Asia in the years ahead.

I suspect that many of you will not like this news, and am sorry to have to deliver it now. I hope that you will be able to understand the reasons for our decision and thank you for being a part of the Multiply community over the past eight years.

Stefan

Thankful Thursday - Slightly Late, but no less thankful!!!

Hello. I was determined to get my Thankful Post done on time today - but life happens and I am late - but still as determined to post. LOL

1) Thankful for my girls!!!I It is at times like today that I am reminded. I was woken up about 4:30 this morning with Melissa calling for me to take her to the ER with another one of her migraines. It was about the worst one yet. She was throwing up for about an 1 1/2 hours straight. Finally after she received anti nausea meds twice her stomach settled down. We spent a good 6 hours or so at the ER - but it was also a time of great conversation, great prayer time together and affirmation of the great gift the Lord gave me in this special child. When I took her home Tamara and Mackenzie took over her care. So nice to know I left her in good hands. Actually as I left Mackenzie was on her way upstairs to go and pray for Aunt Melissa!! I had reminded her recently of how when I was so very sick a while back and how much better I felt when she climbed up next to me on the bed, laid on hands and prayed for me - so she decided she would make Melissa feel better too! Then I got home to my sweet Alaina. She has been helping me with projects around the house. We painted my front room yesterday and my mantlepiece today. We have been enjoying our time together. After being away at college for 3 years - this time is special. It will change soon as she gets a job and moves away again - but life is good!!

2) So very thankful for the young man who got Melissa in so quickly this morning. When all of the rooms were full - he took the initiative of finding a dark space for Melissa away from the waiting room. Her head was hurting so bad that she could not see. I had to lead her around everywhere. Then with the throwing up - it would have been awful to sit in the waiting room. He got an iv going and anti nausea meds into her ASAP. He really was so very helpful and it was appreciated.

3) So thankful for Joy!! No matter what happens I always have that joy that comes from God.

4) Thankful for my Ricky. When God put that man in my life He truly blessed me beyond belief!! Even on his days he annoys me so much - I would never trade him! I love him and I know that he loves me.

5) I am thankful for my Father God!! I never know what to expect each day - but I do know whatever it is will be okay. God is in control of all things - so i don't have to be. I daily put my trust and confidence in Him.

6) Thankful for my time at the gym and especially my time in the sauna!! I am really enjoying my workouts and for Ricky working out with me! I end each workout session in the sauna. Added bonus is that I have come to find out that it is a great place to meet people and to share. I have had great conversations there about my God, about the cleanse I was just on and about Mary Kay!!! I met one lady in particular about 2 weeks ago that I really connected with. She is at about the same place in her life as I am. God has been teaching her too the whole body thing. To love herself inside and out. When I shared some of the things God has been doing she got so excited. We have talked a couple of times since then and it has been a true blessing.

7) So very thankful for the 30 LBS lost on the pre - cleanse and the cleanse!! We have been off of the cleanse for about 2 weeks now so it is all about our/my choices. We mostly stay to the pre - cleanse plan, but feel no guilt if we slightly veer.

8) Thankful for my pool!! It is so nice to go out and have a dip in it. Or to come straight from the gym and sauna - into the pool and then the showers. Also thankful for the laughter and the relaxation I receive from my time in the pool.

9) Thankful that as I am on this last 6 months to my 50th birthday - a day that is well known to be that hump year of our lives that I have become more and more of a child - in Him.

10) So very, very thankful for the freedom He has brought into my life!!!

Where the Spirit of the Lord is
There is freedom
Where the Spirit of the Lord is
There is freedom

There is peace, there is love
There is joy (there is joy)

It is for freedom He's set us free
It is for freedom He's set us free

I'm free! (I'm free! I'm free!)
I'm free! (I'm free! I'm free!)
I'm free! (I'm free! I'm free!)
I'm free

We will walk in Your freedom, walk in Your liberty
We will walk, Lord
We will walk in Your freedom, walk in Your liberty
We will dance in Your freedom, dance in Your liberty
We will dance, Lord
We will dance in Your freedom, dance in Your liberty
We will jump in Your freedom, jump in Your liberty
We will jump, Lord
We will jump in Your freedom, jump in Your liberty

Where the Spirit of the Lord is
(Spoken): THERE IS FREEDOM!!
Where the Spirit of the Lord is
(Spoken): THERE IS FREEDOM!

(Repeat All)

For the first time in my life I know I do walk in the freedom that He has given me. I can dance, I can jump , I can sing, I can speak as well as walk in His freedom. He makes my soul sing!

11) Last - but not least. I am so thankful for you!! Each of my online friends. I love our times together. Hopefully one of these days I will actually meet you face to face - but if I never do it is okay. You are so important and appreciated. I won't embarrass ya'll by pointing out the things I appreciate in each of you but some of those things are ---- steadfastness, laughter, joy, love, hope, honesty, wisdom, truthfulness, encouraging, consistency and Fellow Believers. We appreciate each other for who we are - without judging. Ya'll not only challenge me to grow, but allow me the space to do so. Some of us have been together for 8 to 10 years without actually meeting face to face. I was so blessed when I met you!!!

Awesome Day!!!

Today was a fabulous day!! We had church over at one of our members homes so that we could have Baptisms in his pool. We have had so much rain lately - but NOT today!!! It was perfect. Sunny with a cool breeze. I sat up under a nice shade tree for most of the service with Mackenzie on her towel at my feet. We started out with 7 people getting baptized and ended up with 11!! Quite a few of our children were baptized. Three sisters and a brother and sister, which is such a blessing to see. Actually the brother and sister are the grandchildren of my Pastor - which was special. Five of the children had their parents baptize them, which makes it extra special. It was opened up to others who might want to be baptized and guess who did???
YEP!!
ME!!
I got re-baptized!! I have been thinking about it off and on lately - but had no intention of doing it today. However as Pastor Chuck spoke I just felt like I should. The Lord has done so much in me over this past 2 to 3 years and I know that my relationship with Him is better then it has ever been!! I know that when I say "Jesus is Lord of my Life" that it absolutely is true - no doubts. I don't know anymore of where I am going in my walk with Him than I ever have - but it makes no difference. I know that my trust and confidence is in Him and it doesn't really matter where the journey is to as long as I am ON the journey!! I no longer sit on the sidelines of my life - waiting for it to start again. I am in the race and it is wonderful!! I had the fleeting thought of waiting until another time because I would have liked to have had my family there (Mackenzie was the only one there). But it is about obedience. Which was more important? To wait for family to be there or to obey? So I got in the water because what was happening was between my Father and Me and it really made little difference whoever else was there. Thank You Jehovah Mekaddishkem - The God who Sanctifies. Thank You Lord that in Your eyes I am Holy and Righteous through Your Son Jesus. Thank You that You never let go and never gave up. Where YOU lead me - I will follow.

Thankful Thursday!

First of all, I apologize for my long absence. I will try to do better.

1) So very thankful that my daughter Melissa started her new job today!!! She is working at a local gym at the Greeters Station and selling contracts. It is a start again, so even if she does not care for it.......

2) Only about 2 to 3 weeks until Tamara and Mackenzie move into their new house. She is waiting for the official closing date, so all we know is before mid March. It is a good house for them.Close to her work, the school I hoped for for Mackenzie, a 4 Bedroom, 2 1/2 Bathrooms, attached 2 car garage - so they can pull safely right into the garage at night. It is 2000sq. ft. and has a really nice wooden climbing gym/swingset already there - so Mackenzie is thrilled.

3) The praise with the above one is that I will be able to clean up and declutter soon!!!!! Melissa MAY move out with them - she hasn't decided yet.

4) Tamara and Mackenzie will be taking Libby with them for sure! Libby is an adorable dog and we will miss her - but YAY!!! IF Melissa does decide to move with them then the will take Gus to. We could be down from 5 to 2 dogss - almost overnight.

5) God is amazing!!

6) I know I have more Thankful things but I am blank. It is too late (or early) and my mind is gone.

Thankful Thursday

I am so Thankful ...............

1) That Sue has no more clothes or SHOES that we have to pack!!!

2) That God has so truly blessed us. We have our truck booked for Monday, Rick and his brother Wayne have been approved for their leave and will be here this weekend. We have been getting the boxes, slowly but surely that we need. That we have been geting everything packed and are not killing ourselves to do it - with lots of laughter thrown in!!!

3) For two free Bananas which made a great snack. Some of the boxes Walmart gave us were banana boxes and one had two bananas left in it!!!

4) After the weather has been wet and cold, but looking at the weather schedule we can expect lovely weather for Mondays moving day!!!

5) For all of the memorabilia that has come to light as we are sorting and packing. It is fun to go down memory lane sometimes.

6) Did I say for laughter??? Well, I say it again. We have had a lot of laughter this week - which has been a treat. Especailly necessary when my MIL is already getting a bit weepy. I know this is a huge thing for them and she is getting a little bit anxious. So I keep her moving and motivated.

7) I have even been able to get some of my work done for the Census from here. That is a true blessing.

8) I think all packing will be done by TOMORROW!!!!

9) I had some wonderful fish for supper tonight and some great veggies.

10) A Father who loves me ................. regardless of me..............

Getting back in the Groove!! Figured it might as well start with where I fell out of the groove!!

Well, I have been gone for quite a while. To be truthful I just couldn't seem to find the umph to blog. I kept wanting to but the words just were not there. I know quite a few of you are on Facebook with me, some are not. We have had a lot of ups and downs as a family in my absence, but God always brings us through!!
He took the opportunity to take me through the cleaning up process. He used a lot of things which I could wish never happened - but if they did not then He would have to have found something else just as challenging. Because I had to face the fact that I was not just a little bit stubborn. I was being rebellious and He had had enough. My grand daughter, Mackenzie said it so well the other day. She is four now and she loves for us to sing our prayers on the way to Preschool. Her version went something like this " Thank You God for healing me (she had had an awful cough and ear infection) and Thank You for healing GaGa (what she has named my husband) although You didn't heal GaGa as well as You healed me" - and that is the kicker part of the prayer. We get so good at telling God what He can do and even how He can do it!! Sadly it can be very hard to even recognize that is what you are doing. We call it by other names - HELPING God (control), Not wanting to bother Him (pride), or how about hearing what He is saying but just doing it your own way anyways. Maybe I didn't hear Him right after all! (rebellion) or not wanting to have people look at us especially if we get it wrong. It is easy to let it become all about self and not about Him. I let others attitudes affect me and withdrew more and more from what I loved. Sharing with others, praying with others, blogging - even the little minor things. I loved my time with ya'll. But the more I backed away, the harder it became to come back. Same with the Lord. He never moved - but evidently I did! His voice became fainter and fainter and eventually I hardly heard it at all. It was so faaaaar away. I don't know that I can even explain where He has taken me. I do know it was what needed to happen. In the process He has/is taking care of Generational stuff, He has taken me back to things which I had no idea were even in me. Reasons for attitudes that went back to such simple little things not handled correctly. But some from childhood when you don't even KNOW how to HANDLE something. But our enemy roams about like a lion seeking whom he can devour - and he has no problem with it being our young! The other day I was driving home from dropping Mackenzie off at Preschool and I had a thought from the previous evening. Rick and some of the kids (does college age still count as kids?? LOL) had gone for a walk and it got dark quicker than anticipated. So for safety reasons they called me to pick them up. As we drove home Rick pointed out a spot on the road where they had passed a dead momma opossum and her two babies. They must have gotten hit by a car. Well that momma and her two babies was what I was thinking about. I was wondering if the two babies got hit too or did they just keep clinging to the momma until they did get hit or just died? I was wishing Rick had not pointed her out because as ugly as they are I hated to think of those creatures laying there in the road. That is when the Lord told me that is how we are with things. We will cling to things from the past, things that have no life and bring no life. We will hold on until we die too. A simple message. What dead thing are you holding on to? I am in the process of cleansing our home. Getting rid of things which hold me to the past in negative ways. Some things are spiritual and some are physical. I desire to walk in the freedom that Christ has brought. Well I think I will stop here for now as this has gotten quite long. Have a great evening and I will catch you on the next blog!!

I have received a challenge Question and Answer Session. It came from Mary Ann to Abbie to Me!!
There are two rules...
Rule 1: The tagged person must post answers to the questions on their blog and replace any question they dislike with a new one they've formulated themselves.
Rule 2: Tag 4 other people to do this quiz.

1. If you have pets, do you see them as merely animals or are they members of your family?
I think they are members of the family. We spend a lot of time and love on them. However, they never have the same love priority as people. I do have a firm perspective on them being pets.

2. If you could have a dream come true, what would it be?
ALL of my loved ones in a True Love Relationship with Jesus.

3. What would you do with a billion dollars?
It is always fun to dream ........ If I won a lot of money I would...... and you know I cannot ever come up with enough answers for a smaller than a billion dollars amount - but here are some of them. Tithe on what I have won. However with this much money I am sure I would be going above the Tithe. If God blesses you with something like this , I think I would HAVE to bless others. First the obvious things like - Retire my husband. Pay off debt, not only mine - but that of family members. I have always thought I would love to fund a retirement for my Mother in Law, Sue. She has worked hard her whole life and truly served others. I would like to see her relaxing and being served for a while. Take a vacation (a LONG vacation). I have always wanted to go to Jerusalem and to Alaska and the Panama Canal. Also I would love to go to England again for a good long visit and see family, with a quick trip northerly to Scotland while I am there. I would put back money for the girls and their future kids (since we only have Kenzie at present, but I am sure that will change). There are those who have been a blessing in my life that I would love to financially bless in return. I have probably only just spent a minor portion of it..............................

4. What helps to pull you out of a bad mood?
Time spent with God, whether in His Word, in Prayer or in Praise and Worship. Also time with Family and often Friends. Love poured back in is a great cure all!

5. What is your bedtime routine?
Put Jammers on, brush teeth, use Mary Kay cleansing products, read Bible, sometimes watch TV, often end up on the computer catching up.

6. Name something that has surprised you this week about motherhood (or womanhood)...
Absolutely NOTHING new is coming to mind!! I will say that Motherhood continues to be a joy in my life. The Lord has been teaching me to keep it in balance - AFTER Him. I love being a Mother and Grandmother. It is amazing what children can teach us!!

7. What kind of books do you read?
Bible, Christian reading/studies. I love the Dee Henderson books, however I guess she is not adding anymore. It has been a LONG time. Self - help books (gardening, decorating, dieting, etc.)

8. How do you see yourself in 10 years?
Wherever the Lord takes me. I don't really look THAT far ahead.

9. What’s your fear?

Knives, Loss of control was always a big one - but the Lord has exploded that one to pieces!! LOL

10. Would you give up all junk food for the rest of your life for the opportunity to see outer space?
No Way!

11. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
Run to the Bathroom!! Talk to the Lord about the upcoming day and give it over to Him for His purposes. From there it varies depending if it is my day to get Mackenzie up or not.

12. If you could change one thing about your significant other, what would it be? Or, if you’re single - if you could choose a significant other who looked like anyone in the world, who would it be?
I'm changing this question...
What is one thing you love about your husband?
I like Abbies changed question. I am truly blessed with my husband. Rick has always been supportive even when it is something he has no interest in. I have never had to worry about bills being paid. He is very conscientious about those and about his job. He is a wonderful Father to our 3 girls and I think he was a great Father in Law to our two 1 ex and one soon to be ex son in laws. He is a Great Grandfather (or GaGa as Mackenzie has named him). He spends quality time with her. She loves when he takes her outside and they get to explore or do chores on the property.

13. If you could pick a new name for yourself, what would it be?
I believe I am happy with Carole.

14. If you had to choose between six months of sun or six months of rain, what would you choose?
If it were rain mixed with some decent get outside and catch up on things days then rain. Especially with a couple of really good thunderstorms thrown in. That always makes me think of Texas. We lived next to a TV station and would often see lightening strike the TV tower. Our family would gather out on the front porch to enjoy it. I do enjoy sunshine too, but I am more about days like we are getting now. Just wish it were more consistent.

15. If you could only eat one thing for the next 6 months, what would it be?
At the moment Broccoli and carrots cooked in a variety of ways and of course raw.

16. What is the thing you enjoy about blogging the most?
The interaction with others. I love keeping up with family and friends lives and sharing my own with them.

17. Do you prefer salty or sweet foods?
I go back and forth. Also I love sweet AND salty!!

18. What items are in your purse right now?
Mary Kay Catalogs, Mary Kay Business Cards, credit cards, drivers license, military dependent ID, comb, lipstick, tap measure, Mary Kay Lip Balm, pens, notebook, keys, mini flashlight, tear drops, change............

19. If you had to choose between vacationing at the beach or in the mountains where would you go?
I would like to go to the beach. Our last few vacations have been to the Mountains and I have loved it. But I am ready for a switch up!

20. What do you watch on television that you know you shouldn't?
Truthfully I don't really watch too much Television. Most of the time I rent a movie if I want to see one.

Now I have to tag four people. No pressure, but if you're willing to play along...

Some notes from the book The New Temple and the Second Coming by Grant R. Jeffrey

I will post this so that everyone can read it, but it is actually in regards to a conversation I had with a friend recently. I couldn't remember all of the information to tell her and so said that I would post it. I do have to say that if you have not read this book than I HIGHLY recommend it!! I could not put it down. It is so full of information - fascinating!!

In this portion Mr. Jeffrey was talking about there being various places where prophecies refer to treasures being placed in the sea for Israel. Since Israel's rebirth scientists and engineers have developed enormous mineral resources from the Dead Sea. Here are some of the prophecies...........

Deuteronomy 33:19 - They shall call the people unto the mountain' there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.

Isaiah 45:3 - And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

Jeremiah 51:13 - O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of they covetousness.

Evidently in the 1930's the British Mandate authorities allowed a British company, Potash, Ltd. to set up a pumping and extraction plant that would recover some of the extraordinary mineral wealth from the Dead Sea. They pumped a slush like supersaturated liquid from a depth of 200 feet at the northern end of the Dead Sea. The liquid moved up a 36" pipe some 1200 feet up the side of mountains to the west of the Dead Sea. They had enormous evaporation pans near the top of the mountain. There were 5 huge pools arranged in a cascade like series, with each evaporation pan spilling over to the next lower pool. He said that the unusually high temperatures and high winds caused the slushlike material to evaporate, producing extremely pure sodium chloride (table salt, which is highly valuable). The residue was poured into the next evaporation pool and after evaporation produced magnesium chloride ( used in the manufacture of aluminum). Each additional evaporation pool produced another chemical separation: calcium chloride, potassium chloride, and finally magnesium bromide. Mr. Jeffrey made a calculated chart of the amount of chemicals to exist in the Dead Sea.

CHEMICAL EST> BILLION TONS PRICE PER TON TOTAL VALUE

Magnesium Chloride 22 $290 $6.38 Trillion

Sodium Chloride 11 $450 $4.95 Trillion

Calcium Chloride 5 $350 $1.75 Trillion

Potassium Chloride 2 $85 $170 Billion

Magnesium Bromide 1 $1280 $1.28 Trillion

TOTAL ESTIMATE 41 Over $14 Trillion

He said that to place this $14 Trillion in perspective, it is virtually equal to the annual gross national product of the US. So the Lord has not only brought His people back to their land, but He is motivating them to restore its ancient fertility and wealth as it was in the days of King David and King Soloman.
