We have our truck booked for Monday, Rick and his brother Wayne have been approved for their leave and will be here this weekend. We have been getting the boxes, slowly but surely that we need. That we have been geting everything packed and are not killing ourselves to do it - with lots of laughter thrown in!!!

3) For two free Bananas which made a great snack. Some of the boxes Walmart gave us were banana boxes and one had two bananas left in it!!!

4) After the weather has been wet and cold, but looking at the weather schedule we can expect lovely weather for Mondays moving day!!!

5) For all of the memorabilia that has come to light as we are sorting and packing. It is fun to go down memory lane sometimes.

6) Did I say for laughter??? Well, I say it again. We have had a lot of laughter this week - which has been a treat. Especailly necessary when my MIL is already getting a bit weepy. I know this is a huge thing for them and she is getting a little bit anxious. So I keep her moving and motivated.

7) I have even been able to get some of my work done for the Census from here. That is a true blessing.

8) I think all packing will be done by TOMORROW!!!!

9) I had some wonderful fish for supper tonight and some great veggies.

10) A Father who loves me ................. regardless of me..............

What a Beautiful Day!!!

Hello My Friends!! Figured it might as well start with where I fell out of the groove!!

Well, I have been gone for quite a while. To be truthful I just couldn't seem to find the umph to blog. I kept wanting to but the words just were not there. I know quite a few of you are on Facebook with me, some are not. We have had a lot of ups and downs as a family in my absence, but God always brings us through!!
He took the opportunity to take me through the cleaning up process. He used a lot of things which I could wish never happened - but if they did not then He would have to have found something else just as challenging. Because I had to face the fact that I was not just a little bit stubborn. I was being rebellious and He had had enough. My grand daughter, Mackenzie said it so well the other day. She is four now and she loves for us to sing our prayers on the way to Preschool. Her version went something like this " Thank You God for healing me (she had had an awful cough and ear infection) and Thank You for healing GaGa (what she has named my husband) although You didn't heal GaGa as well as You healed me" - and that is the kicker part of the prayer. We get so good at telling God what He can do and even how He can do it!! Sadly it can be very hard to even recognize that is what you are doing. We call it by other names - HELPING God (control), Not wanting to bother Him (pride), or how about hearing what He is saying but just doing it your own way anyways. Maybe I didn't hear Him right after all! (rebellion) or not wanting to have people look at us especially if we get it wrong. It is easy to let it become all about self and not about Him. I let others attitudes affect me and withdrew more and more from what I loved. Sharing with others, praying with others, blogging - even the little minor things. I loved my time with ya'll. But the more I backed away, the harder it became to come back. Same with the Lord. He never moved - but evidently I did! His voice became fainter and fainter and eventually I hardly heard it at all. It was so faaaaar away. I don't know that I can even explain where He has taken me. I do know it was what needed to happen. In the process He has/is taking care of Generational stuff, He has taken me back to things which I had no idea were even in me. Reasons for attitudes that went back to such simple little things not handled correctly. But some from childhood when you don't even KNOW how to HANDLE something. But our enemy roams about like a lion seeking whom he can devour - and he has no problem with it being our young! The other day I was driving home from dropping Mackenzie off at Preschool and I had a thought from the previous evening. Rick and some of the kids (does college age still count as kids?? LOL) had gone for a walk and it got dark quicker than anticipated. So for safety reasons they called me to pick them up. As we drove home Rick pointed out a spot on the road where they had passed a dead momma opossum and her two babies. They must have gotten hit by a car. Well that momma and her two babies was what I was thinking about. I was wondering if the two babies got hit too or did they just keep clinging to the momma until they did get hit or just died? I was wishing Rick had not pointed her out because as ugly as they are I hated to think of those creatures laying there in the road. That is when the Lord told me that is how we are with things. We will cling to things from the past, things that have no life and bring no life. We will hold on until we die too. A simple message. What dead thing are you holding on to? I am in the process of cleansing our home. Getting rid of things which hold me to the past in negative ways. Some things are spiritual and some are physical. I desire to walk in the freedom that Christ has brought. Well I think I will stop here for now as this has gotten quite long. Have a great evening and I will catch you on the next blog!!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://ramblewithcarole.blogspot.com/2011/04/getting-back-in-groove-figured-it-might.html' title='Getting back in the Groove!! However with this much money I am sure I would be going above the Tithe. If God blesses you with something like this , I think I would HAVE to bless others. First the obvious things like - Retire my husband. Pay off debt, not only mine - but that of family members. I have always thought I would love to fund a retirement for my Mother in Law, Sue. She has worked hard her whole life and truly served others. I would like to see her relaxing and being served for a while. Take a vacation (a LONG vacation). I have always wanted to go to Jerusalem and to Alaska and the Panama Canal. Also I would love to go to England again for a good long visit and see family, with a quick trip northerly to Scotland while I am there. I would put back money for the girls and their future kids (since we only have Kenzie at present, but I am sure that will change). There are those who have been a blessing in my life that I would love to financially bless in return. I have probably only just spent a minor portion of it..............................

4. What helps to pull you out of a bad mood?

Time spent with God, whether in His Word, in Prayer or in Praise and Worship. Also time with Family and often Friends. Love poured back in is a great cure all!

5. What is your bedtime routine?
Put Jammers on, brush teeth, use Mary Kay cleansing products, read Bible, sometimes watch TV, often end up on the computer catching up.

6. Name something that has surprised you this week about motherhood (or womanhood)...
Absolutely NOTHING new is coming to mind!! I will say that Motherhood continues to be a joy in my life. The Lord has been teaching me to keep it in balance - AFTER Him. I love being a Mother and Grandmother. It is amazing what children can teach us!!

7. What kind of books do you read?
Bible, Christian reading/studies. I love the Dee Henderson books, however I guess she is not adding anymore. It has been a LONG time. Self - help books (gardening, decorating, dieting, etc.)

8. How do you see yourself in 10 years?
Wherever the Lord takes me. I don't really look THAT far ahead.

9. What’s your fear?
Knives, Loss of control was always a big one - but the Lord has exploded that one to pieces!! LOL

10. Would you give up all junk food for the rest of your life for the opportunity to see outer space?
No Way!

11. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
Run to the Bathroom!! Talk to the Lord about the upcoming day and give it over to Him for His purposes. From there it varies depending if it is my day to get Mackenzie up or not.

12. If you could change one thing about your significant other, what would it be? Or, if you’re single - if you could choose a significant other who looked like anyone in the world, who would it be?
I'm changing this question...
What is one thing you love about your husband?
I like Abbies changed question. I am truly blessed with my husband. Rick has always been supportive even when it is something he has no interest in. I have never had to worry about bills being paid. He is very conscientious about those and about his job. He is a wonderful Father to our 3 girls and I think he was a great Father in Law to our two 1 ex and one soon to be ex son in laws. He is a Great Grandfather (or GaGa as Mackenzie has named him). He spends quality time with her. She loves when he takes her outside and they get to explore or do chores on the property.

13. If you could pick a new name for yourself, what would it be?
I believe I am happy with Carole.

14. If you had to choose between six months of sun or six months of rain, what would you choose?
If it were rain mixed with some decent get outside and catch up on things days then rain. Especially with a couple of really good thunderstorms thrown in. That always makes me think of Texas. We lived next to a TV station and would often see lightening strike the TV tower. Our family would gather out on the front porch to enjoy it. I do enjoy sunshine too, but I am more about days like we are getting now. Just wish it were more consistent.

15. If you could only eat one thing for the next 6 months, what would it be?
At the moment Broccoli and carrots cooked in a variety of ways and of course raw.

16. What is the thing you enjoy about blogging the most?
The interaction with others. I love keeping up with family and friends lives and sharing my own with them.

17. Do you prefer salty or sweet foods?
I go back and forth. Also I love sweet AND salty!!

18. What items are in your purse right now?
Mary Kay Catalogs, Mary Kay Business Cards, credit cards, drivers license, military dependent ID, comb, lipstick, tap measure, Mary Kay Lip Balm, pens, notebook, keys, mini flashlight, tear drops, change............

19. If you had to choose between vacationing at the beach or in the mountains where would you go?
I would like to go to the beach. Our last few vacations have been to the Mountains and I have loved it. But I am ready for a switch up!

20. What do you watch on television that you know you shouldn't?
Truthfully I don't really watch too much Television. Most of the time I rent a movie if I want to see one.

Now I have to tag four people. No pressure, but if you're willing to play along...

Robin

Becky

Sandra

Kathy

Some notes from the book The New Temple and the Second Coming by Grant R. I couldn't remember all of the information to tell her and so said that I would post it. I do have to say that if you have not read this book than I HIGHLY recommend it!! I could not put it down. It is so full of information - fascinating!!

In this portion Mr. Jeffrey was talking about there being various places where prophecies refer to treasures being placed in the sea for Israel. Since Israel's rebirth scientists and engineers have developed enormous mineral resources from the Dead Sea. Here are some of the prophecies...........

Deuteronomy 33:19 - They shall call the people unto the mountain' there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.

Isaiah 45:3 - And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

Jeremiah 51:13 - O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of they covetousness.

Evidently in the 1930's the British Mandate authorities allowed a British company, Potash, Ltd. to set up a pumping and extraction plant that would recover some of the extraordinary mineral wealth from the Dead Sea. They pumped a slush like supersaturated liquid from a depth of 200 feet at the northern end of the Dead Sea. The liquid moved up a 36" pipe some 1200 feet up the side of mountains to the west of the Dead Sea. They had enormous evaporation pans near the top of the mountain. There were 5 huge pools arranged in a cascade like series, with each evaporation pan spilling over to the next lower pool. He said that the unusually high temperatures and high winds caused the slushlike material to evaporate, producing extremely pure sodium chloride (table salt, which is highly valuable). The residue was poured into the next evaporation pool and after evaporation produced magnesium chloride ( used in the manufacture of aluminum). Each additional evaporation pool produced another chemical separation: calcium chloride, potassium chloride, and finally magnesium bromide. Mr. Jeffrey made a calculated chart of the amount of chemicals to exist in the Dead Sea.

CHEMICAL EST> BILLION TONS PRICE PER TON TOTAL VALUE

Magnesium Chloride 22 $290 $6.38 Trillion

Sodium Chloride 11 $450 $4.95 Trillion

Calcium Chloride 5 $350 $1.75 Trillion

Potassium Chloride 2 $85 $170 Billion

Magnesium Bromide 1 $1280 $1.28 Trillion

TOTAL ESTIMATE 41 Over $14 Trillion

He said that to place this $14 Trillion in perspective, it is virtually equal to the annual gross national product of the US. As you can see from the photo, it seemed to have been a pretty SWEET trip!! LOL. I didn't realize until I unloaded it how much sweet things that I picked up this time. I did get a pretty good variety of stuff too. From rice/pasta products, more heat and eat meals and individual fruit bowls just to name a few things. On this trip I knew I was picking up some things that were not free or even very close to free. They were about half price. Rick loves the string cheese snacks and his Pace Picante Sauce so I went on and got them for him. One or two things I picked up to give to some people who are jobless at the moment - something Triple coupons makes easily within all of our budgets!! Then of course you can see my soda and snack up on the arm of the bench - AGAIN! which was about $2.70 added to my purchase price.
Totals for this trip: Grand Total - $75.76

                                                                    Minus Vic Sales- $ 8.08

                                                                    Minus Coupons - $40.92

                                                                    Amount Paid - $ 26.76

So far between these two trips this week I have spent $48.31 for $152.96 of groceries. A savings of $104.65. I am pleased with my purchases so far. It is exciting to know that I have quite a few of free or almost free items. Fun, fun, fun!!!

Triple Coupons at Harris Teeter!!

Well today I went to my FIRST EVER TRIPLE COUPON SALE!!! It was a fun challenge getting everything ready to go. Sorting through all of the coupons, checking with www.southernsavers.com and at coupon teachers (here on blogger) blogs. They write up all of the best deals that they are seeing and make it simple to coupon shop. Southern Savers even has where you can print your shopping list with all of the coupons marked!

Harris Teeter only triples coupons .99 and under. So first thing I did was to set all of my dollar and above coupons to the side for another day. My focus was on the higher priced (under a dollar) coupons I could triple that would give me the best price. I tried to only get things I needed too! Well Tamara wanted me to get milk and I grabbed a soda and some cashews to munch on as I drove home. So those three things alone made it about $5 higher. It was a good opportunity to try those uncrustable sandwiches which I thought that I would NEVER buy. However with the coupon it was a very reasonable price to try it. I thought that it would be a quick and easy snack or part of a meal for Mackenzie. I picked up one peanut butter and jelly and one cheese sandwich. I also stocked up on deodorant (4), shaving gel (2) and toothpaste (2) bandaides and hand lotion. Then some cleaning products and plastic cups. Some frozen vegetables and a heat up meal. Over all I am very pleased with how things went.

With no coupons or VIC sales the total would have been $77.20

                                                                                    minus VIC sales $6.45

                                                                                    minus coupons $49.20

                                                                                    Amount I did pay $21.55

So I am very pleased with how well this shopping trip came out!!! I will have to go back again before the Triple Days Sale is over. Any of you that have a Harris Teeter I highly suggest you give them a try. Go to some of the online sites for coupons and sale information too. Any questions that I can help you with, please feel free to ask them!! I'd love to hear about YOUR shopping experiences!!

I finally started using coupons again!!

I have been stocking up on coupons for the past several weeks. As some of you may remember I had gone to a coupon class recently which a wonderful lady from my Church held (Thank you Mary Ann!!). But with my staying home taking care of Mackenzie I am not presently bringing in a paycheck and so I figured this is one way that I can add to the family income. Many years ago when my girls were little I used to use a lot of coupons - but it has been a LONG time. Nowadays there are several sites where you can go to for help. One being Coupon Teacher here on Blogger. Some other very helpful sites are www.YourCouponBuddy.com and Sunday Coupon Review which I have listed on the side of my page here and then there is www.southernsavers.com (which I have been using quite a bit as I get organized) and www.moneysavingmom.com. I gather the idea is to combine your coupons with the store specials. Especially when they have their double and triple coupon days, which these sites listed are really great about letting you know when they are coming up!! Also taking advantage of your CVS, Riteaide and Walgreen programs.
Well, as I was saying, I had my first coupon savings trip. Harris Teeter was having a Super Doubles coupon time. Which is where they double all coupons up to $1.98, with a maximum of 20 coupons per day, per household. So I did not take any coupons with me for less than a dollar as I figured I would take advantage of the higher savings of course! I forgot to take a photo of my shopping so maybe next time and my receipt seems to have disappeared. Probably hubby has it for entry into the budget. However now is when I have the time to write so I will go by memory. I ended up spending $147.15 with a savings of just under $90.00. I realize I could have gone much cheaper but was buying some meat which I had no coupons for. They did have some lovely Salmon on sale which we ate that night. It was a melt in your mouth meal! I marinated it in some of the Kens Ginger Honey marinade (which I had a coupon for $1 off of 2 which doubled at $2 made the marinades a good value.) . They also had a special of by 2 get 3 free on the Breyers Ice Cream. I had a $1 coupon for that too, which was doubled to $2 off. Making all 5 ice creams cost about $8. So we had Fried Ice Cream for dessert, Yummy. The Kens dressings were also on the buy 2, get 3 free deal. So I used my $1 coupon which doubled to $2, making all 5 dressings cost just under $4. With $2 off my Guacamole was about .90 cents. Without my receipt I don't remember a lot of the other specials, sorry. I did buy 2 of the Boston Butt Roasts which I liked the look and the price of. I use them for making barbeque. However one was just over $5 and the other was just under $9. When I got to the checkout the lady scanned one and then kept trying to scan the other. Finally she just scanned the first one again, giving me that price. So I saved almost $4 unexpectedly here as it was the more expensive one giving her problems!!

I was very pleased with my first attempt at coupon shopping. Now I am excitedly waiting an opportunity to go to a Triple coupon day. If you are not aware, there are ladies out there getting their groceries for just short of free. It really is doable and can help making staying at home more easily done.

Mackenzie with her Mom and Dad 04-09

First they were jumping on the trampoline. Totally different!!

Going on a trip!!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IgyDeDSRB8s/SRexF51b9wI/AAAAAAAAAFs/Dt6ubvVWnYk/s400/100_5990.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5266873004215498498" />
Well, it looks like Mackenzie and I are going on a little road trip - along with my Mom (Great Nanny).
My Auntie Eve and Uncle George (one of my Mothers Older Sisters) has flown in from England for a few weeks. They are in Orlando, Florida. So I am going to drive Mom down there to see them. We will leave Wednesday and come back Saturday or Sunday. Probably Sunday. So if anyone comes near that area give a yell, I would love to see you. I know we are going to go to the Holy Land there. I saw that the last time I was in Orlando and have been wanting to go to it. That will be exciting. Of course Mackenzie has never left Mom for that long before, so hopefully she will be okay. This should be interesting!!! LOL!!

Oh, the photo above is Mackenzie and I. She loves to give long kisses now. She will press her face up, usually hard against yours and then stare into your eyes. It makes me want to laugh so much. Most of the time she slams her face into yours. We won't talk about the snotty nose that came with that kiss!!! LOL

Video/photo remix of Mackenzie 10-6-08

Mackenzie's Grandparents came over for a while yesterday. We were coming into the house from running around for the afternoon. Tamara was carrying Mackenzie ahead of me. I decided to go to my room and kick off my shoes. As I opened the door I heard from behind me, "NANA!!" I turned around just as Tamara said to Mackenzie, "what did you say?" and she pointed towards me and called out "NANA!!" Not only did she call me, but she confirmed that she knew exactly what she was saying!! LOL!! Talk about excitement. I felt like my heart could explode with the Joy!!!
I can see that I need to take a new photo of Mackenzie and I as well. In the meantime you can enjoy Mackenzie and her Mom instead. I will rectify the problem soon!!

Blessings and Not so Blessings!!

Mackenzie is really enjoying it when we take her into the pool. From the get go she has been a real water baby. Loves her baths and of course since Uncle Jacob taught her to pour water over her head, every glass of water would go there, if she had her choice!! The pond area went dry for the first time this year. So Rick was cutting it as the kudzu was going really wild. To do that, he starts at the top of the hill, going down at a fast pace, taking everything out with him as he goes. Well something broke and he had to leave the mower there while he found a part. So last sunday as I was leaving for church I glanced over at the pond area to see that with the rain in the night, our pond went from totally empty, to the mess above.

We've been having a fun time!!

Tamara and I took Mackenzie to Chuckee Cheese the other day. My niece and nephew graduated yesterday and the other niece will be graduating in 18 minutes. Due to limited space we didn't get to go and watch, but will go to their parties today and tomorrow. The twins had their Grandfather, Step Grandmother and two Aunts all fly in - most from Hawaii and one from California. So my Mother did a brunch for them this morning, so Tamara and I and Mackenzie went over to help. It was nice to meet her sisters. Their Step Grandmother had an asthma attack and so they had to take her to the ER, so I will have to meet them later today. They were planning on going down to Savannah since one of the sisters wants to go to Paula Deens Restaurant there. However they are probably going to cancel the trip due to the asthma.
We are supposed to get to 100 today, so they have moved the party from a pavilion to indoors (Praise God!!). Evidently they brought leis with them for all of the graduates as well as a lei for each made out of dollar bill flowers. Very pretty.
My other Nieces party is tomorrow and it IS outside! UGH!! But we will survive the heat.
I have Tamara, Joshua, Mackenzie and Melissa here until Monday. Then Melissa will go down to Georgia to babysit Mackenzie for a few weeks. She is so excited to be able to have all of that time with her to herself!! LOL!! It is nice having all of the kids here. I wish Jacob could have come with Melissa and we would have them all!! Maybe soon. It would be nice to get a family photo.
I have attached some photos. The one on the left is Amanda and Jonathan and Amanda's boyfriend, Jake, right before prom this year. Amanda and Jonathan are the twins. You have probably guessed that Jonathan is the boy to the left!!! LOL. The photo on the right is Ashlyn. I couldn't find a current, current one, so the one posted is a year or so ago. The photo of Mackenzie is from this morning. The rug that she sat on my dad made like 35+ years ago. It keeps on going and going!!!
Well, I hope that each of you have a wonderful weekend and I will catch up with you soon.

Getting to know me ~~ My Salvation Testimony

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IgyDeDSRB8s/SDO7OnFU_ZI/AAAAAAAAACM/skNEcz6-fQY/s400/images.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5202707854226947474" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_IgyDeDSRB8s/SDO7FHFU_YI/AAAAAAAAACE/fruKVhni5y4/s400/images.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5202707691018190210" />
I was thinking today about the fact that I am blogging in a whole new arena and while some of you have known me for the past few years, many of you have not. So I have revamped My Salvation Testimony off of my 360 blog. I only speak lightly of the experience, but enough said for you to grasp "my story". So this WAS me ............
My Salvation Testimony
Well, I have written of many things - but so far have not given my testimony. So I thought it was time. I will try not to get too long or confusing with it - but as you probably know by now I love to Ramble ( Hence the name of my blog ). Here goes. If I confuse you - just ask me about it.

I was not raised in church. We went on occassion. My Mom is English and kept saying she couldn't find a church like what she was used to - and my Dad...... he just didn't go. I don't ever remember seeing him in Church growing up. My Dad was in the Air Force so we were mainly back and forth between England and Texas. When we were in England I do remember going to church ( to the Protestant Service on Base and not to the Church of England, by the way) on occassion and to some of the Vacation Bible Schools. I know I used to really enjoy it - but a child will not encourage themself to continue. So after we came back to Texas I don't remember us going to church at all, except on one or two holiday services. At about 16 I started going to church with a friend. I remember sitting there, knowing that they all had something that I wanted - but didn't understand. Now in this time of going to this church I would go to their extracurricular activities and to sunday service, but never to sunday school. That is why years later I worked with the youth - trying to catch those teenagers who were passing through and not connecting. But I digress. I did go forward and was Baptized - but I still did not understand. No one ever took the time to check and make sure I understood about my "relationship with the Lord". So there were not really any life changes in me. But I still yearned. I was married a few months before my 19th birthday. I did try going to the Church of Christ with my husband once. We both knew we should be in church and as he had been raised in church I was willing to go to his denomination ( I really didn't understand the differences in denominations). Well the people were so rude we never went back. That was it for many, many years. My husband and I were stationed in England from 88 - 92. Well while we were there many things came to a head. I have always for as long as I can remember sensed "spirits" about me, even as a child. Well I had a cousin who also was active in this area and so it made it easier to open the door all of the way. I was looking for God and I trusted her. So a door that was cracked open in my life was suddenly flung open wide. Without going into details, I very quickly was into palm reading, tarot card reading ( which honestly I had dabbled in for a number of years prior and already had a set of tarot cards). I also was "looking" at past life regression, automatic writing - until I realized I didn't need it because I was already hearing in my mind what my hand was writing. Reading auras, astral projection and the last and most consistent thing I was involved in I guess would fall under channeling. I want you to understand though that I had opened a door that I quickly realized was not right, but I had no idea how to make it all go away. I never went deeply into any of the above named stuff because I didn't have total faith that if I just let loose I wasn't going to have a spirit jump into my body and I would be gone. Looking back I can see where the Lord truely protected me. We did a lot of what we did through Spirit Guides. I remember I thought that I was so wise and I never touched a ouija board because I KNEW they were bad. But don't you know these are all open doorways to the same vehicle? I might as well have played with the ouija board too!! Anyway I got to the point that I was hearing voices in my mind all of the time. You could never totally shut it off. As I tried to start drawing away I would get awful things said to me, some of it like I would be in a vehicle about to cross over a road and I would hear a voice say," when you cross over you will get hit by another car and die - and then you are mine". I used to go and see a palm reader fairly often and she would say to me "slow down, don't move so fast in things". She was not like any other palm reader I have since run into. Had I met any of the ones I went to in the states in later years I would have never gone back. But this lady never knew your name and never asked any questions. Yet she would tell me my past, present and future and be dead on for that which I could varify. Of course I understand now how that happened , but didn't then. Anyway, things built to a point that I had to make it go away, but how?? I had a spell with depression, which praise God I quickly got a handle on. I had a friend drive me to the Church down in Bourton on the Water because I knew I needed things to stop. But sitting in that church I still had all of the same stuff going on. A great lesson for me for the future. Satan does get into our churches. Test everything. I remember laying in bed one night and I was shown 4 spirits and I was told that they were just waiting for me. To remember them because I would be seeing them in the near future. Actually one of them came back quite a few years later. Only it was bothering one of my daughters. This stuff is generational. I used to lay in bed at night and talk myself to sleep. I was afraid to just let my mind rest - because then I had to hear things. There used to be an old lady who walked down our hallway. I could hear her steps and the tapping of her cane as she went. I could never find peace. My mind was all a clutter and I was afraid to let it be otherwise. I hear people talk about seeing things and I can only say "I know that it is true". I can remember looking at my cousin once and watching her eyes turn from a beautiful blue to a black, black. Or watching her as she sat in a chair rocking, describing what was going on. What she was seeing. But as I watched her it was like an old, old person took her over. I am not going to go into detail but suffice it to say, I saw it. Anyway, we finally got at the point that it was time to go back to the states. I was so happy because I thought I would be leaving it all there. Yeah, right. All I did was to put myself in my new home, alone and open wide to spiritual attack. With no one to talk to from England who would understand. I am not going to go through all that happened in that time frame until my acceptance , but it was ugly. However I finally reached a point of making a decision. My husband was TDY when it all came to a head. To begin with I had a dream. It was one of those dreams where you know, that you know, that you know that God has spoken to you. In it, we were out in our back yard. Well in Texas we had a concrete padded basketball area in the center of our backyard. In this dream it was a fenced in area and when we bought the house we were told it was a water tank. This is one of the things which bugged me for years. I know it was supposed to be a water tank but in my mind I always saw it as an oil tank, like the ones we had in our yard in England. But anyway, why someone would buy a house with a water tank in the center who knows, but we did in this dream. There were a bunch of kids going up a slide and sliding down into a wading pool. The slide was right up next to the fence and there was this large boy who went down the slide and as he did he knocked the fence over. These were not kids we knew, just kids. Well now I could see inside and it wasn't a water tank it was like 3 golf sandpits, but when I looked at them I could see they were satanic circles and there were satanic signs all along the outsides of them. Even though that is not something which I know, but they were obvious in this dream. I was saying "I wouldn't have this in my life" and my husband and I were taking axes and trying to destroy them, but they wouldn't break up. Well this is where I woke up. It was obvious to me the Lord was saying "Carole this is what you have in your life - now make a decision". Things were bad all of that day. The girls went to spend the night and I was all alone and knew I had to do something. That is when I heard the Lord tell me, " Carole I have told you and told you and told you, now I am backing off. Child, do something about it." If you ask me what God looks like I don't know, but I do know His hands. I don't know how to describe the motions He made as He said those words to me, but the visual is clear. He basically was dusting off His hands and telling me "it is your responsibility". My problem was always what if I asked God to take care of things and He didn't want to? What if He didn't want me? I would have stirred up satan and then would have him to deal with as God walked away. With everything being so visual to me, this was a hard, hard, step of faith. I called a man named Tom, who taught a Sunday School class I had visited a time or two recently. He came out and at 11:40pm on Feb. 16, 1994, 20 minutes before my 31st birthday, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Praise God. A friend of mine who I had also called, I think was very dissappointed - it was all so peaceful. But you see had it been anything else, I would have doubted its validity. God knew me and He knew I needed peace. It was wonderful. Now later on that night I had joy and laughing and tears and dancing. But for that moment I had total peace!!! I went to sleep that night for the first time in about 6 years and I just closed my eyes and went to sleep. No talking myself there!!

My friend had asked me if I though I should tell others my testimony as it was so weird. But I said yes because there are others out there who are going through the exact same thing and I will be honest. There will be those who will think I am nuts - but oh well. I asked a lot of people, looking for answers and so many of them were not honest. I will not lie or cover up my past. At one point before we left England I had the opportunity to go and see my older brother who was in Holland. I was so excited because I knew he was a Christian and I thought, " He can help show me in the Bible what is going on". I remember sitting at his table and his words were " Carole, There are two places things come from and what you have is not from God". He told me years after that fact - that he thought that since he couldn't quote the verses, etc. he had no business helping me. From that I learned to never let it stop me. I am not all knowledgable and I may have to stop and look or even to ask someone else - but I will find what I am looking for. It was a great lesson.

I cannot say it has been easy ever since. There were a couple of times that spirits tried and I had to learn to respond differently. I could tell you of the last time I sensed anything in my room. The Lords Prayer is mighty. I may go into some of these things in another blog. I am not wanting to draw this one out too long. A lot of it is learning to change your habits. To call on the Lord instead of depending on self. To lean on Him. I had to learn to "Be still and know He is God" instead of keeping my mind a clutter. For about the first two years I was told that over and over again by total strangers. The last thing I will cover is the water tank issue. About 10 years after the fact I was having lunch with a new Christian friend and we were sharing testimonies. As I was telling her mine and got to the water tank - I suddenly knew. He gave me living water!!!! Then I understood why the oil tank concept was there too. Oil is of course symbolic of the Holy Spirit!!!

God is good. He continues to draw us into new depths. I cannot wait each moment to see where He takes me. Well I will close for now. Blessings to each of you.

Hello My Friends and a prayer request

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_IgyDeDSRB8s/SC23NnFU_WI/AAAAAAAAAB0/a9SBIcJG2GU/s320/m_f28ab1a42287ede35ad421d65a6af046.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201014589140303202" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_IgyDeDSRB8s/SC23N3FU_XI/AAAAAAAAAB8/qs3hGHgFPrM/s320/100_3416.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201014593435270514" />
Hello My Friends,
Today I would like to request your prayers for my Grandmother, Catherine. She is back in the hospital again for the third time in about a 5 week period. They say that she has an infection in her kidneys which has gone to her blood stream and into her heart. I hope I have explained that properly. Two times ago when she went in they decided she had ecoli, which they say they believe is what is now creating further problems. My father has denied a feeding tube as it is not what she wants. My Dad said he thought he had lost her when they took her in. But they were able to level her back out. We cannot pray against her will, so what I ask your prayers on is that she is able to accomplish anything left undone and then can just go peacefully. That all family members would just release her. Because we can in our hurt make them feel like they have to stay with us. She is in the early stages of Alzheimer's and has said that she would rather just go on home to the Father then to slowly fade away in her mind. She is 87 and has had a full life. For peace for those of us left without her.
On an uplifting note, Joshua graduated from his Airborne class today. I think that is the name of it. He has officially learned to jump with a parachute. He has done it for years with a different (rectangular) shoot, but I guess in this class it is with the traditional shoot. Tamara was able to go and film and take pictures on Wednesday as he jumped out of the plane. This morning was his graduation. Tamara had called wanting family there for this big moment in his life. We were thinking of going. However with this turn of events, I felt like I should stay in town in support of my parents with my Grandmother. They will tire themselves out and then will be exhausted when they need to make the after death decisions(if it comes to that. They thought so last time and she pulled through). My Dad is still exhausted from the sitting up overnight with her at the hospital from before. But that is something that I can easily do, freeing him up to rest.
At the last moment Josh's parents were able to go. So Tamara had a friend who was going to let them stay with her last night so that they would be a complete surprise this morning!!! Tamara was gonna drop Joshua off and then go and pick up Cathy and Steve. Tamara was supposed to pin Joshua's wings on him, but she has set it up for Steve to take her place as that will mean a lot to Joshua. She has been so excited about this. I know she was picking up balloons yesterday and has a friend making a cake for her. It will be in the shape of one of the 2 possible planes Joshua could be jumping out of. She will have his name and rank across the wings. I will post some photos when I get some. I posted the above photo of them since this is their exciting day. That was quite a few months ago, because this last visit I only seem to have individual photos and not a family shot!!!
It is beautiful here today. The pool is balanced in chemicals and almost there is clarity. This morning we had to save a turtles life. It was a little tiny one, a little bigger than a 50 cent piece. It was floating along the side, so we lifted it out. I wish I had had my camera out there with me, but alas I did not. So far, no snakes this year - which is good.
Well I had better get going. I want to pop by the hospital and see my Grandmother before I go to work. I hope that each of you have a brilliant and blessed day in the Lord.

Update: My Dad just called and they are moving my Grandmother to Hospice care. The photo attached is her at Thanksgiving.

Sunflowers!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_IgyDeDSRB8s/SCpwNXFU_VI/AAAAAAAAABo/IqX2k06rhGE/s320/images.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200092094589631826" />

SUNFLOWERS!!!!!!!

Our Showdown for today is Sunflowers as you can see from above. When I think of sunflowers I think of beauty, vibrancy, power and action. I don't know if all of those descriptive words make sense to you - but they speak to me. . Sunflowers are living and active - just as God's word is living and active in our lives. After all, God "SPOKE" the world into existence . I was saying in the previous blog about when we raise our hands that our Father knows our unique fingerprints. But the other day I heard for the first time that we also each have a unique sound to our voice that only we can make. Wow!!! So when I praise or pray or moan and groan to my Father, He hears my individual sound. But here is a step further in this thought. Did you know that when you look up the word Wilderness in Strongs Concordance that the secondary meaning for it is mouth or sound??? I didn't know it either. I mean why would you think that a wilderness would have anything to do with your voice?? I am going to digress a tiny bit to bring it back around to where I need to go ~ so please bear with me. {Or is that bare with me??} When Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray and He told Peter, James and John to wait there for Him while He prayed. See He knew that it was for Him to speak the Fathers will into His life. "Not my will, but thou will be done." When we have problems we tend to run to our friends and say, "pray for me" and then we might pray for ourselves. But Jesus knew because God spoke His future to Him and then He had to speak it out. Don't you know that your stuff only responds to YOUR voice. God speaks it to us and we speak it out.

Back to the Wilderness. I am sure you know that when Moses took the Israelites into the desert and they took their trip, it should have taken about ten days instead of 40 years. Also that only Joshua and Caleb made it into the Promised Land out of all of those people!! And here is the point ................

WHAT YOU SPEAK IN YOUR WILDERNESS DETERMINES YOUR FUTURE!!!

Do you suppose that if the Israelites had not moaned and groaned and complained, do you suppose that they would have flown through on that trip? It is how you make the journey that has an everlasting impact. Wilderness = mouth, sound.....

My friends, Speak to your mountain!!!

How did sunflowers get me here?? When I said beauty, vibrancy, power and action ~ those are all living words, but see we have the Living Word in our lives. We are SON - FLOW -ERS !! Because the Son flows through us if we have invited Him to make that difference in our lives, our hearts, in our deepest most being.

AAHHHHH ......... I know.......... ANOTHER picture of Mackenzie!!! LOL. But this one goes with a thought!!! When I was sitting at Bible study the other evening I found myself looking at my Moms hands and from there my mind wandered to little Mackenzie's hands and then to God. I had meant to get a new photo of her hands when she was home and didn't. That is one of the things that I didn't do when my girls were little was to just get a photo of those little chubby hands and feet. I did get her feet months and months ago, as well as her hands. The hands were with Rick and Tamara's hands for a photo contest. A generation of hands. Then I found a photo which I had totally forgotten of my Mother and Mackenzie's hands which totally tie in with my thoughts. But I digress. Tamara sent me the attached photo of Mackenzie with a comment about her little baby fat rolls and it made me think of that moment at Bible study. I found myself thinking of all of the joy that I receive in her little bitty hands. When they reach to me for a hug or a kiss. As they stuff the banana that she so loves into her mouth. As quickly and as much as possible!! As she makes her funny little buzzing noise as she plays busily with whatever her little hands can reach. When she holds to the edge of the bathtub as she lifts her little chubby leg trying to climb in. Watching her little chubby fingers as they fly over the buttons on her Grandfathers computer keyboard, or plays with a phone or remote control (whenever she can get one). When she came this time and was not well, she would just curl up against my shoulder with her little chubby hands lying still by her sides as she sought the relieve and comfort that she needed. Or one of her newest things of flinging her arm out as she points towards whatever she is wanting. Her little chubby hands are never still. She makes me laugh and smile so as I watch her, as she makes discoveries in her world, meeting new challenges head on. Always curious, constantly moving, until she has finally exhausted herself and falls asleep. Then her little chubby hands lay still and trusting.

I found myself pretty emotional as I thought about her little hands and I wondered, "Do our hands bring such joy and smiles to our Father in Heaven?" As we go through our days taking care of our loved ones in the many things that we do. Cooking, cleaning, braiding a loved ones hair, cutting grass, wiping a runny nose, feeding an older Loved one who no longer has the ability to feed themselves, working at whatever our job is, etc. Then how about when we are turning the pages of the Lords Word, making notes, looking up words for it's Hebraic/Greek meaning, highlighting something which the Holy Spirit has just used to bring enlightenment. Sharing His Word with another, as I make a point with my hands which I seem to speak with (HA). Or when I grab the hands of a friend as I lift them up before My Father in prayer. Or as I come before Him asking for Him to move in a situation, again my hands have a habit of talking along with me (LOL). Does it excite Him as I make new discoveries like Mackenzie excites me as she makes new discoveries?? Or when I lift my hands in Praise. Praise of how MARVELOUS my Father is. How Awesome and Amazing. Expressing a love to Him that bursts from the very center of my being. I have a friend who always teaches that when we raise our hands to the Lord that He sees each of our individual fingerprints and says "Ahh, Carole is checking in." I posted the song above because it is a song that I have always loved. It's not particularly a style that I listen to often, but the words are solid ~ and so is Jesus, who is the Light House.

The Lighthouse

There's a lighthouse on a hillside
That overlooks life's sea
When I'm tossed, it sends out
A light that I might see
And the light that shines in darkness now
Will safely lead me thru the night
If it wasn't for The Lighthouse
My ship would sail no more.

cho: And I thank God for The Lighthouse
Well, I owe my life to Him
For Jesus is The Lighthouse
And from the rocks I've seen
He has shone a light all around me
That I might clearly see
If it wasn't for The Lighthouse
Tell me where would this ship be.

Ev'rybody that lives about me
They said tear that lighthouse down
'Cause the big ships they don't sail this way anymore
There's no use of it standing 'round
Then my mind goes back to that stormy night
When just in time, I saw that light
Yes that light from that old lighthouse
That stands up there on the hill.

cho:

He has shone a light all around me
That I could clearly see
If it wasn't for The Lighthouse
Tell me where would this ship be.

That is a powerful song. When I think of the storms in my life when all I have known to do is to cling to the light from that Old Lighthouse that shines all about me ~ giving light to the darkness. To MY darkness. Praise God, He is faithful to meet our every need.

ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT

During WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England , its people and peace. This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped.

There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America.

If you would like to participate: each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the up-coming election, and for the revival of Christianity in this great country.

If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along.

Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Rick had 2 days of school, so we took advantage to have a day to play!! I took Mackenzie's first birthday presents with me so she could open them a few days late. Then I also took her shopping and stocked her up on shorts, tops and a few sundresses for the summer. We got to have all day on the tuesday (April 1) together and then I had to leave by no later than 10 am on the Wednesday to get back home in time for work at 2pm. So I got about 7 miles from the hotel and got stuck for the next hour or so in a traffic jam!!! LOL. We were going to go to the zoo but they said 80 or 90% chance of rain so we shopped instead. Very little rain happened, so we COULD have gone. We went to the Cheesecake Factory to eat on the Tuesday and Outback Steakhouse that night.
Little Mackenzie is getting so big, it seems hard to believe. They will be here in about a week and a half or two, depending on Tamara's new job. Joshua will be here too. He is going to be in his cousins wedding and Tamara needs to go to a class at the college, so it is a good combination trip. She is hoping she and Mackenzie will make the wedding too, but doesn't know yet with work. It will be good to see them all.

Just back from the Joyce Meyers Conference

The pictures and video are from Thursday night through Saturday morning. In the middle is a Bible study/Prayer time we had at the hotel and also where Robert took us to a restaurant that he remembered as a boy. What he remembered is the fabulous dessert. It was like 8 or 9 scoops of ice cream, 4 of sherbert, strawberries, bananas, english walnuts, cake, whipped cream with a sugar cone covered in whipped cream and a cherry. We really needed six of us to eat it!!! It came out in a huge triffle bowl.
Then there are photos of us packing up saturday morning before the final session of Joyce Meyers. Some came out a bit fuzzy - but you can get the gist of it.

New to Blogger

Hello. Well I opened this up a good while back but have never used it. I have blogged at Yahoo 360 for several years and I love it. Then I opened a My Space page which I find I do not use too much. Several people from Yahoo went to Mulitply, so I opened a page there just to keep up with them. Now I am having a look here. I will have to figure out options before I do too much.
